There are a lot of games in the world
I started Indie Bytes with the goal of helping the lesser-known indie games that deserve a bit of love find some of it. Over the past few years, the project has evolved from live commentary recommendations to scripted video essays that take deep dives into what particular thing makes the subject game so special.
A side-effect of focusing so heavily on deep dives is that I've been unable to talk as much as I'd like to about the smaller games. Games made during jams, short experimental projects, single-mechanic arcade games, simple roguelikes- all styles of games with plenty of potential to say or do something interesting, regardless of how much there really is to say about them.
To that end, I've decided to take Indie Bytes to the next logical step- a website! Here, I'll be posting videos as they release, but I'll also be posting text articles about the smaller games that may not innovate as much, but are still just as deserving of your time and attention.
If you have any suggestions for the website, games I should check out, questions, or anything like that feel free to reach out to me using the contact form or by e-mailing me directly at nevyn (at) indie-bytes dot com.
Thank you for checking out the website, I hope you find some great new games to play!
