Iconoclasts - An Analysis Of The One Concern Agents

April 8, 2018

It’s easy to look at Konjak’s Iconoclasts and dismiss it as a by-the-numbers, plain-as-day 2D platformer with little to offer other than solid visuals and a bigass wrench, and I’ve seen a lot of people describing it as a metroidvania which, y’know, is completely wrong, but I also feel like it leaves what makes Iconoclasts special by the side of the road in favor of an easy explanation. And hey- there’s nothing wrong with that, really. But I wanna make something clear about this game:

It’s less about the exploration of its environments, and more about the exploration of its characters.
